Wapping Summer Fete 13th July Wapping Gardens – but what happened to the Shindig bit?

This year the Wapping Shindig Summer Fete will be held in Wapping Gardens E1W 2PA between 12 and 6pm on Saturday 13th July. This very popular annual event has moved from Wapping Green to the more spacious location of Wapping Gardens just over the road within even easier distance of the Turks Head Cafe.

Thames River Police Museum open

A wide variety of activities and stage shows will be going on and of course this is a very rare chance to visit the ever popular Thames River Police Museum in Wapping High Street which will be open between 11am and 5pm.  This is extremely popular and so people come from all over London to have a peek inside, so turn up early to avoid disappointment.

Thanks Amanda!

As ever huge thanks to Amanda Day from the Turks Head Company who is one of many people who do all the hard work so we can all enjoy ourselves!

It is unclear as to why the unique ‘Wapping Shindig’ name has been dropped this year in favour of the ‘Wapping Summer Fete’ but it seems the level of fun will be just the same!

Do come along and enjoy the best that Wapping has to offer.
