Despite the continuing problem with knife crime in London the police use of targeted ’Stop and Search’ powers is still controversial for some. In response to this the MPS are running two Stop and Search Community Events in Whitechapel and Hoxton.
#VCTF #SYN4 & #SYN3 have been on @MPSHackney, a busy shift with 2 knives recovered from 2 separate stop and searches, both males are currently reflecting on their actions in a police cell. #KnifeFree #KnifeCrime pic.twitter.com/KbuLrIQFo3

These are open events for local residents to attend so just turn up. With the recent murder of Alimuz Zaman it is more important than ever that we all make the most of opportunities to get educated.
The aim is to provide our communities with information on the stop and search powers the police have available to them and how Hackney and Tower Hamlets borough police use these powers to tackle crime.
You can meet and talk to local police officers and ask any questions you may have.
Details for the two events are:
- Wednesday 12th June at Idea Store, 321 Whitechapel Road, E1 1BU between 5pm and 8pm
- Wednesday 3rd July at Aviva Digital Garage, 33–35 Hoxton Square, N1 6NN between 5pm and 8pm
After a long day at #LondonMarathon #ProjectServator officers were nearly back to the station but
came across a knife point robbery in progress. Male chased &arrested. Not content with taking a prolific offender off the street, we returned to the scene today & look what we found pic.twitter.com/w5mZIzcvC5
