Hermitage Moorings is having its annual open weekend tomorrow and Sunday 23-24 March.
During the open weekend, visitors can talk to houseboat owners about life on the river and what it’s like to live on a houseboat or just have a good nose around.
Tug Touchstone will be temporarily moored over the weekend and will be open to visitors to explore. Built in 1963, this beautifully restored tugboat is maintained by a team of volunteers who will be all too willing to share its history.
Three other houseboats permanently moored at Hermitage Moorings are currently for sale.
A pop-up café will be providing refreshments throughout the day, although visitors are also welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in Memorial Gardens.
Check out the Hermitage Moorings website for further information.
