Two 16-year old males have been stabbed in Wickford Street, Bethnal Green, E1. This is a separate incident to the stabbing in Limehouse on the same day.
On Friday 21st September at approximately 21.30 hours police were called to reports of a stabbing on Wickford Street, E1.
On arrival police officers found two 16-year old males suffering from stab wounds.
According to police reports the two victims alleged that they were walking along Cambridge Heath Road when they were approached by a group of youths on bicycles.
An argument started during which a mobile phone was stolen and one of the victims was stabbed in the back and the other stabbed in the leg.
Neither victim’s injuries are considered to be serious and one of the victims made his own way to the Royal London Hospital.
The crime scene in Wickford Street was secured and a forensic examination of the scene undertaken. No knives were found.
Both victims are assisting police with their enquiries and the investigation is being led by CID at Bethnal Green Police Station.
Any witnesses are asked to contact the police via 101.
