Crossharbour DLR acid attacks – police arrest three suspects

Tower Hamlets police Gangs Unit and British Transport Police have made three arrests linked to recent acid attacks yesterday, Friday  5th January, at an undisclosed address in the borough.

Last week there were two separate acid attacks on the Isle of Dogs.

Acid and machete siezed

One of the arrests was directly related to acid attacks, two arrests were of gang members.

A large machete, acid and three face masks were found and seized as evidence.

Crossharbour DLR acid attack

The arrests were a joint operation with British Transport Police and was in connection with the noxious/corrosive fluid incident at Crossharbour DLR station on 27th.

The male arrested in relation to the Crossharbour DLR attack remains in custody in an East London Police Station, British Transport Police are progressing this investigation.

No further details at the moment.
