Police appeal for witnesses to hate crime attack in Weavers Fields

Tower Hamlets police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault against at least two youths in Weavers Fields.

The offence happened at about 17:00hrs on Tuesday, 25 July in in Weavers Fields, E2 when at least two youths in their early teens were assaulted by three men.

The youths, who were left bruised and shocked after the assault, told police they were approached by the men in the park and assaulted in an unprovoked attack.

The suspects are described as being white males, aged between 30 and 40. They spoke with eastern European accents.

There have been no arrests at this time and enquiries continue.
