By on June 7, 2017 in Jo Cox MP, News

The Great Get Together celebrations in Wapping will begin with a gathering by the Peace Statue in Hermitage Gardens, Wapping High Street  at 6pm on Friday 16th June.

Celebrating the truth

This will be a chance for us to celebrate the truth in Jo Cox’s rallying call that far more unites us than divides us, exactly a year after she was killed.

This event is being organised by Friends & Neighbours of Jo Cox and the Wapping Bangladesh Association and is supported by Love Wapping

Jo

“While we celebrate our diversity, what surprises me time and time again as I travel around the constituency is that we are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.”

Extract from Jo’s maiden speech

There are events taking place across the in celebration of Jo’s life and values and as much loved and respected member of our Wapping community we are, in addition to the gathering at the Peace Statue, also having Wapping’s very own Great Get Together too!
