Prostitution moves from Green Bank to Pennington Street

By on April 13, 2017 in Organised crime, Prostitution

The prostitution activity that has been taking place in Green Bank has now moved up to Pennington Street next to London Dock.

Reports from residents and a little snooping by LW seems to indicate that it is the same people in the same cars doing the same thing, so it seems the problem has just been displaced to another part of Wapping.

Signs of activity are not obvious unless you know what to look for but one alert resident tipped off LW as to what was going on and at least one of the vehicles now operating in Pennington Street was seen in Green Bank on a regular basis.

Photographs seen by LW show the same men standing by the vehicles in Pennington Street as were observed by residents in Green Bank.

Early this morning we found the exact same type of rubbish towards the west end of Pennington Street near to the junction with Breezers Court as we had found every morning in Green Bank when the prostitution was active there. Romanian cigarette packets, a particular type of discarded cigarette butt and folded tissues used to remove excess lipstick.

On the positive side there seems to have been no prostitution activity in Green Bank since Saturday night.

LW has passed on all information about Pennington Street to the MPS Tower Hamlets vice team and our local councillors.
