Jo Cox’s Fund on GoFundMe now online

By on June 17, 2016 in Jo Cox MP, News

jo-cox-hermitage-featuredIn celebration and memory of Jo Cox her family and friends are raising funds to support charities closest to her heart.  At the time of publication £48,000 £50,000 had been raised in just three hours.

The three funds chosen are:

The Royal Voluntary Service, to support volunteers helping combat loneliness in Jo’s constituency, Batley and Spen in West Yorkshire.

HOPE not hate, who seek to challenge and defeat the politics of hate and extremism within local communities across Britain.

The White Helmets: volunteer search and rescue workers in Syria. Unarmed and neutral, these heroes have saved more than 51,000 lives from under the rubble and bring hope to the region.

These three charities have been chosen by Jo’s friends and family and her husband Brendan. Once all the funds are gathered they will be split equally between them.
