Brexit soup is the newest item on the menu at the The Turks Head Cafe in Green Bank, Wapping.
Whatever your feelings on Brexit you might want to check out the creation of chef Giacomo Landi, a special ‘sweet and sour’ soup made with two different types of onions, two different types of potatoes. carrots, rosemary, bay, tarragon and five different spices and Giacomo’s usual attention to detail.
“The recipe means that the soup should taste sweet to those who voted ‘Leave’ and ‘Sour’ to those who voted Remain,” said chef Giacomo Landi with tongue firmly in cheek.
Making customers smile with Brexit soup
“But seriously, it’s some fun for our customers who have been really serious since the referendum result and I wanted to see them smile when they realised they could have Brexit soup.”
Brexit soup is now available at the projected price of a London semi-detached house in six months time – £3.50.
LW Restaurant Reviewer Note: Actually it is really lovely sweet and sour soup, whichever way you voted.
