Council staff warned not to destroy records

By on May 1, 2015 in Tower Hamlets council

Below is a photo taken of what is presumably the content of an email sent to Tower Hamlets Council staff printed and stuck on the door of the Executive Mayor’s office at the town hall.

do-not-destroy

The text reads in part:

“You must not destroy any information or records whether held electronically or in hard copy on permanent or temporary files, irrespective of whatever policies on information or data retention or disposal the Authority has adopted.

This notice applies to all data and includes, but is not limited to, emails, documents, annotated file notes, desk files, handwritten notes, calendar entries and council mobiles.”

All interesting stuff.
