Exhibition by Cable Street artist Dan Jones at History Library

Local artist Dan Jones is having a retrospective exhibition of his East End paintings and prints from 1970 to 2014 . The exhibition runs from 19 July to 15th November at  Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives, 277 Bancroft Road, E1 4DQ.

A mix of East End politics, art and history

The Love Wapping Art Critic (Exhibitions Outside Wapping Team) went along for a nose round the exhibition recently and thoroughly enjoyed what he found, a fascinating mix of  politics, art and history all in one.

Dan, who lives in Cable Street, has documented the East End for many years and his work captures key events in the East End.

Love Wapping highly recommends that you pop along for a look and be prepared to have your memories stirred. You can get a better idea of the nature of Dan’s art here at Dan Jones’ Paintings on the Spitalfields Life site.
