Get to grips with Computers and the Internet

No idea what a ‘Silver Surfer’ is? Not sure where you should stick your mouse? Still prefer your mail in an envelope with a nice stamp on? Then this course is for you!

Get to grips with Computers and Internet is a  six week course covering the basics of using computers, the Internet, and the web.

Weekly courses every Wednesday for four weeks

computer-clubThe first course will start at 10am on Wednesday 15 January then every Wednesday until February 19th and will be held at the Hurtado Centre, 2 Chandler Street, Wapping, E1W 2QT.

Each session lasts an hour and a half. There is a £1 discretionary charge towards costs. Which is a bit of a bargain.

The course was conceived with older people in Wapping in mind who have never learned to use a computer, however anyone who needs to learn the basics of computers is very welcome.

It is being offered by Friends of Wapping in association with the Wapping Community Group, The Hurtado Centre, with help from Community Solutions.

If you know someone who would benefit from this course, please let them know about it. Because if they don’t use a computer they aren’t going to be reading this, are they?

If you are reading this because you do have a computer then why not download the PDF flyer attached, print it out and give a copy to someone who might benefit.

Call Gren Bingham or Harry White on 0779 324 0039 for more information.

Gren developed the course and will be teaching it. The Hurtado Centre has an Information Technology suite with computers which we shall be using.

Coffee and tea will be available.
